TERMS &
CONDITIONS.
Last updated: 14 June 2026
These terms explain how renting from Panic Mode works: what you can expect from us, and what we need from you so that every piece can go on to its next wearer. Renting (rather than buying) means we share these clothes, so a few of the rules below exist to keep that going smoothly for everyone.
01Who we are
This website (panicmode.ie) is operated by Panic Mode Ltd, a company registered in Ireland under company number [CRO NUMBER], with its registered office at Bellevue House, Bellevue Copse, Booterstown, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, A94 C6K6. In these terms, "Panic Mode", "we", "us" and "our" mean Panic Mode Ltd.
"You" means anyone who browses the site, creates an account, or rents an item from us. You can reach us any time at info@panicmode.ie.
02Agreeing to these terms
By browsing the site or placing a rental booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. Please read them before you book. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or rent from us.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place a booking is the version that applies to that booking. We will post the current version here and update the "last updated" date above.
03Eligibility
To book with us, the person placing the order and paying must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract. By booking, you confirm that the information you give us, including your name, delivery address and payment details, is accurate and that the payment method belongs to you or that you are authorised to use it.
You may book an item to be worn by someone under 18 (for example, a parent or guardian booking for their child). If you do, you are the customer under these terms and you remain fully responsible for the booking, including payment, returning the item on time, and any late, repair or replacement charges that arise.
04Our items
Our collection includes both brand-new pieces and garments that have been rented before. Whatever its history, every piece is professionally cleaned and inspected between rentals. Because our items are designed to be worn by more than one person, you accept that a piece may show minor, normal signs of previous wear. We photograph and describe each piece as accurately as we can; colours may appear slightly different on your screen.
If we spot a fault we think you should know about before your rental begins, we will contact you in advance and offer you a suitable alternative, store credit, or a full refund of that booking, whichever you prefer.
05Bookings, availability and pricing
Each item shows a live availability calendar. A booking is only confirmed once payment has been taken and you receive a confirmation email; until then dates are not held for you.
We offer two standard rental lengths: 4 days, which is our minimum rental, and 8 days. For full outfits taken away on longer trips, we also offer travel rentals arranged with us on a case-by-case basis. Get in touch at info@panicmode.ie to discuss dates and pricing.
Prices are shown on each product page, or agreed with you directly for travel rentals. Prices may change at any time, but a change will never affect a booking you have already paid for. If a genuine pricing or availability error means we cannot fulfil a booking, we will tell you and refund you in full.
06Delivery and return
We will get your item to you ahead of your rental start date. Your rental period and return arrangements are shown at checkout and in your confirmation email.
You are responsible for returning the item by the method and by the return time stated on your order. We strongly recommend keeping proof of postage until we have confirmed the item back.
[Delivery and return method and deadline to be finalised.]
07Late returns
Because a late return can prevent the next customer's booking, items returned after the stated return time incur a late fee of €35 per day, charged to the payment method on file, until the item is back with us. If an item is more than 7 days late we may treat it as lost and charge you under the "Care, damage and loss" section below.
08Care, damage and loss
Please treat each piece with care. Do not attempt to clean, alter, repair or iron items yourself. If a garment arrives creased, hang it in a steamy bathroom rather than ironing or steaming it. All cleaning is handled by us on return and is included in your rental.
Normal, light wear from a single rental is expected and is on us. You are responsible for damage beyond that.
Where damage can be repaired, we will assess the cost of repair and charge that amount to your payment method, up to the item's recommended retail price (RRP). Where an item is damaged beyond repair or is lost, you are liable for the full RRP of the item, plus any rental income lost while the item is unavailable.
We assess every case individually and will always show you the evidence and the basis for any charge before applying it.
At checkout you may add optional damage cover for €10, which covers accidental repairable damage up to €100. It does not cover loss, theft, or damage beyond repair.
09Card on file
We keep your card details securely on file via our payment provider and may charge it for late fees, repair costs or replacement costs as set out in these terms, after notifying you.
10Fit and suitability
We want every rental to work for you, so please check the size and fit details on each product page before booking. Because a booked item is held exclusively for your dates and is therefore unavailable to anyone else, we are unable to offer a refund or credit if an item does not fit or is not what you expected. This does not affect your legal rights where an item is faulty or not as described.
In certain cases, we may be able to arrange for you to try a piece on in person before your rental. If you'd like to check the fit, get in touch with us at info@panicmode.ie and we'll let you know if a fitting can be arranged.
11Cancellations and your right to cancel
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, contact us as soon as possible at info@panicmode.ie.
For standard rentals, cancellations made more than 72 hours before your rental start date will receive store credit for the full amount, valid for 12 months. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the start date are non-refundable, as the dates can no longer be offered to another customer.
For travel rentals, because the item is reserved for an extended period and arranged with you individually, cancellations must be made more than 7 days before your rental start date to receive store credit for the full amount, valid for 12 months. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable.
Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day "cooling-off" right does not apply to bookings for services tied to a specific date or period, which includes date-specific rentals. Your cancellation rights are therefore as set out above.
12Faulty or misdescribed items
If an item arrives faulty, damaged on arrival, or materially different from its description, contact us within 6 hours of receiving it and before wearing it, ideally with photos, and we will help find a replacement or refund that booking. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980.
13Acceptable use of the site
You agree not to use the site unlawfully, to interfere with its security or operation, to upload anything harmful, or to copy, scrape or resell any part of it without our written permission. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse a booking, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.
14Intellectual property
All content on this site, including the Panic Mode name, logo, photography, text and design, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. You may not reproduce or use it without our written consent.
15Your personal data
We handle your personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
16Our responsibility to you
We provide the site and our service with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise the site will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
17Events outside our control
We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, for example postal or courier delays, extreme weather, or supplier failure. If such an event affects your booking we will contact you and, where we cannot fulfil it, refund you for the affected rental.
18Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and any disputes fall to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
