Fashion has a waste problem, and the occasion dress is one of its worst offenders. Bought for a single night, worn once, then left hanging in a wardrobe or sent to landfill. We started Panic Mode because we think that's a broken way to get dressed, and because the most sustainable garment is the one that already exists.

Renting is our answer. Every time a piece is worn by someone new instead of being bought new, it does more with what already exists, and chips away at the demand for constant production. One dress, many nights out, many people. That's the whole idea.

01What we actually do

We'd rather show you than make big promises, so here's what sustainability looks like in practice at Panic Mode.

We keep clothes in circulation. Our model is built on sharing, not buying. Each piece in our collection is designed to be worn again and again, getting the most out of every garment we hold rather than feeding the cycle of buy-once-and-bin.

We care for and repair our pieces locally. Cleaning and repairs are handled here in Ireland, keeping things local and extending the life of every item. A small repair today is a piece that keeps going for years, rather than something written off after one mark.

We use low-waste packaging. Our packaging is designed to be reused and to travel with each piece on its journey to its next wearer, rather than being thrown away after a single trip. We ask our community to return it so it can keep doing its job.

We give our pieces a next life. When an item finally retires from our rental collection, we don't bin it. We donate or resell it, so it carries on being worn long after its rental days are over.

02Where we're headed

We're a young Irish business, and we're honest about that. We don't have everything figured out, and we won't pretend a rented dress fixes fashion's footprint on its own. But we believe renting is a genuinely better way to enjoy great clothes, and we're committed to improving how we do it as we grow, from how we clean and pack, to how we source and care for what we hold.
